一、学科简介 (Disciplines Instruction)

材料科学与工程是与国民经济发展紧密相关的重点学科领域之一。近年来,这一学科已经发展成为青岛科技大学最具优势的传统特色学科。青岛科技大学材料科学与工程学科源于1950年我国最早设立的橡胶工程专业,经过六十年的发展,已成为我国以高分子材料、纳米材料及材料加工工程为突出特色的材料科学与工程领域高级人才培养、科学研究和新技术开发的重要基地之一。

Being closely related to the national economy, the Material Science & Engineering (MSE) is one of the most rapidly developing disciplinary fields. MSE is one conventional, predominant, and characteristic first-class discipline in Qingdao University Science & Technology (QUST).Polymer Materials & Engineering (PME) originates from the pioneer Rubber Engineering (RE) constructed in 1950. After a sixty-years of development, it has grown into one important national base for talent training, scientific research, and high-technology development, and possesses an outstanding characteristic in fields of polymer materials, nano-materials, and material processing.

高分子材料与工程是我校设立最早的专业方向,也是国家级特色专业,在高分子材料的合成、改性、复合、成型加工及计算机模拟、辅助设计等方面进行了广泛而深入的研究,取得了突出的成果,形成了以橡胶合成、橡胶加工工程为突出特色的研究方向,在国内外橡胶工程界具有重要的影响,培养的人才遍布橡胶的生产和研究单位;该学科主办的“国际橡塑技术论坛”、“国际高分子材料热性能研讨会”和“中日橡胶轮胎技术研讨会”等国际学术会议也产生了越来越大的影响;其中高反式-14-聚异戊二烯的合成及应用开发”研究成果获得国家技术发明二等奖(2000年),并已成功地实现了工业化生产。

PME is the earliest discipline established in QUST and one of characteristic disciplines in the national level, focusing on polymer synthesis, modification, compounding, processing, computer simulation, computer-aided design, and so on. Thus far, PME has harvested a large number of outstanding achievements, established the characteristic research direction in rubber synthesis and processing, and trained many specialists for the rubber manufacturers and research institutes, thus enjoying a high professional status in the national and international RE field. The international conferences, such as International Rubber-Plastics Conference, International Polymer Thermal Analysis Technology Seminar, and China-Japan Joint Seminar on Tyre & Rubber Technology, organized by PME have been making a growing international influence. The research findings of Synthesis & Application of High Trans-1,4-Polyisoprene won the “2nd National Prize of Technology Invention in 2000” and has realized industrialization.

纳米材料的制备及应用研究方向起步较早,在纳米材料合成、生产装备、应用研究等方面均取得了突出的成绩,其中“高熔点纳米金属催化剂的制备方法”获得国家技术发明二等奖(1997年),是我国纳米技术领域最早获得的国家级奖项,在国内外纳米新材料开发及利用领域有着较高的声誉。功能高分子材料、光电信息材料是本一级学科新近发展起来的重点研究方向,已承担了大量国家级项目,社会影响在日益扩大。

Fabrication & Application of Nano-materials is another dominant research direction. Regardless of the short history, it develops very fast and has acquired many returns in the fields of ano-material fabrication, application, and fabrication equipments. A typical example is the research findings of Method for fabricating Metal Catalyst with High Melting Pointwhich was honored with the “2nd National Prize of Technology Invention in 1997”. This is the earliest national prize in the nanotechnological field and has earned rather high international prestige in the corresponding field. Furthermore, Functional Polymeric Materials (FPM) and Opto-Electronic Information Materials (OEIM) are two important and newly developed 1st-class undergraduate disciplines. They have undertaken a series of national research projects and are increasingly enhancing the social influence.

金属、无机非金属纳米材料的制备及其成型加工在我校也有较长的发展历史,有一支较稳定的研究梯队,曾承担过国家八五科技攻关项目、国家九五重点科技推广项目、国家自然科学基金重大项目和一些部省市级科研项目,荣获国家发明三等奖和一些部省市级科技奖励。经过多年的学科建设,本学科逐渐形成了以金属材料表面工程技术、功能纳米材料的制备与性能表征和材料成型加工技术为专业的发展方向,主要涉及金属材料表面改性处理、功能纳米材料的制备与性能表征、高性能复合材料的制备与性能研究、材料成型加工装备与工艺、金属材料的腐蚀与防护等。

Metal & Inorganic Nonmetal Nanomaterials (MINN) also has a long history in QUST. It owns a relatively stable research faculty. MINN has presided some research projects including National Important Science & Technology Project during the 8th Five-Year/9th Five-Year Plans, Important Project of National Natural Science Foundation, and provincial, ministry or Qingdao city level projects. MINN has already wonthe 3rd Prize of National Invention and provincial, ministry or Qingdao city level prizes. With many years’build-up, MINN has progressively developed three professional directions on Surface Engineering Technology of Metal Materials, Fabrication & Characterization of Functional Nanomaterials, and Material Processing Technology, which involve surface treatment of metal materials, fabrication and characterization of functional nanomaterials, fabrication and properties of high-performance composites, equipment and technique of material processing, and corrosion and protection of metal materials.

材料科学与工程一级学科硕士点起源于材料学硕士点,始建于1988年,是青岛科技大学最早的硕士点。研究内容涉及材料的设计、制备、选择、加工、应用及其相互关联性研究。该一级学科下设三个二级学科:材料学(080502)、材料加工工程(080503)、材料化学与物理(080501),拥有1个国家工程技术研究中心、1个教育部重点实验室、1个教育部工程技术研究中心、1个博士后流动工作站、3个山东省重点实验室、4个山东省重点学科和4个省市级工程技术研究中心和试验中心。国家和省市级科研和学术平台的搭建,为本一级学科的发展奠定了坚实的基础。该学科经过长期建设,实验设备先进,已具备了较完善的科研与培养高层次人才的条件。

Master degree program of MSE stems from the program of Materials Science established in 1988, which is the earliest one in QUST. Such program concerns mainly with the research on material design, fabrication, selection, processing, application, and other related area. This discipline contains three sub-disciplines, i.e. Material Science(080502), Material Processing Engineering(080503), and Material Chemistry & Physics(080501).Under MSE, there have one national engineering research center, one key laboratory (Ministry of Education), one engineering research center (Ministry of Education), one post-doctoral station, three Shandong provincial key labs, four Shandong provincial key disciplines, and four Shandong provincial or Qingdao city level engineering research centers. The establishment of these scientific research platforms has paved the way for further development of MSE. UP to date,  With a long-term construction, MSE currently possesses many advanced research instruments which will further enhance the scientific research and high-level talent training.

二、培养目标(Objectives of training )

本专业培养适应我国社会主义建设需要的德、智、体全面发展的,具有独立从事材料学科教学和研究工作能力的高级专门人才。具体要求如下:

MSE is aim to train high-level specialists who meet the need of national socialist construction, develop themselves in an all-round way of morality, intelligence, and physical health, and own the ability of engaging independently the teaching and/or academic tasks in Material. The detailed requirements for graduates are as follows.

1、热爱祖国,为人正派,遵纪守法,具有正确的人生观;服从国家需要,具有良好的职业道德和为祖国现代化建设艰苦奋斗的献身精神。

To become a man who loves motherland, decency, legality, good moral character, being practical and realistic, rigorous style of study; obedience to motherland demands, high professional ethics, good health and devotion to the motherland's modernization.

2、具有坚实的材料学科知识和专业基础理论、熟练的实验操作技术;具有一定的人文素质和修养。

With substantial basic theory knowledge on Materials, proficient experimental operation skills; wider knowledge base with good personalities.

3熟悉所从事的专业,能够熟练阅读本专业的外文资料,并具备一定的听说和书面表达能力。

Familiar with the actuality and progress of research direction; mastering one foreign language, fluently reading the academic literatures in foreign language, and good at listening, speaking, and writing in foreign language.

4具有一定的独立从事科学研究、教学工作或从事专业技术工作的能力;具有勇于创新的科学精神;有发现与捕捉研究课题的能力,有撰写论著的能力。

Possessing the ability of implementing independently the scientific research, teaching, and/or charging the professional work; having the innovative scientific spirit; having the ability of finding and grasping the research subjects as well as writing the scientific articles.

5、能够适应我国经济,科技,教育发展需要,胜任高校、研究院所、企事业等单位的教学、研究、应用技术开发及管理工作。

Able to adapt to needs of economy, science and technology, education development, competent for universities, research institutes, enterprise or business the unit such as teaching, research, application technology development and management work.

三、学制及学习年限(Educational System and Length of Schooling

本学科硕士研究生的学制为23年,学习年限一般不超过4年。其中课程学习一般为12学期,论文工作不少于1年;视学位课程学习及学位论文完成情况,经本人申请、导师同意、学校批准,可适当提前或延长(半年至一年)毕业

The basic length of schooling for master’s postgraduate education shall be 2 to 3 academic years and always less than 4 academic years. The length of curriculum is usually one to two terms. The time of writing a paper is at least one year. Once the candidate offers the application and the application is agreed by the supervisor, approved by the university, the graduate application could be advanced or extended (six months to a year) depending on the completion of the degree course study and the dissertation. The studying of master’s post graduate courses carries out the credit system. The students should obtain forty to forty-two credits during the studying. The degree courses are at least eighteen credits. The research links are thirteen credits. And postgraduates will be allowed to graduate according to the actual requirements.
